Tighter Gun Carry Policy is Best Crime Control

QUESTION: Sir John, how do we make our cities safer from gun-carrying criminals?

ANSWER: (1) More Gun-Carry Checkpoints, (2) Tighter Gun-Carry Policy. Private persons, who are not in the business that requires carrying of guns, should not be given permits to carry firearm outside residence. Our streets is a public place and it is safer without private guns concealed in motor vehicles. As for the law enforcers, they should only be authorized to carry gun while they are in uniform and on duty-time; beyond the duty, they should be treated the same way as private citizens.
